If you live in an apartment in Charleston, SC, then St. Patrick’s Day will be loads of fun. Charleston is a traditional city and St. Patrick's Day is no different. The day begins at 8 a.m. with a traditional Mass at Saint Patrick's Church. The parade begins 10 a.m. at King and Radcliffe streets and follows King Street down to Broad Street. The parade is a traditional family event and is offered to all ages. The St. Patrick's Day parade has over 1,000 participants and includes floats, bagpipers, Irish step dancers, fiddlers, local college and pro team mascots, and many of Charleston's favorite Irish citizens. After the parade (11:30 a.m.), the celebration continues in front of City Hall with the raising of the Tri-Colors and the singing of the Irish National anthem. Following the flag raising ceremony many events continue throughout the city including The Knights of Columbus Hall on Calhoun Street and O'Malley's on King Street. Events will include live Irish music and Corn Beef lunches. Slainte!
