If you live in an apartment in Charleston, SC head to the 2012 Southern Living Taste of Charleston, starting this Sunday.
This is the 32nd anniversary of the Lowcountry’s culinary event of the year, The Southern Living Taste of Charleston, hosted by the Charleston Restaurant Association. A 3-day event showcasing taste-tempting delights served by Charleston restaurants.
Main Event – Sunday, September 30th
Historic Boone Hall Plantation is transformed into a sea of culinary enchantment! 50 of the Lowcountry’s favorite casual and fine dining restaurants serving sample size portions, plus beer and wine. Specialty and imported beer tasting tent, live entertainment, the legendary “Waiters’ Race” and the children’s area.
Tickets are $15 in advance. Available online or at any area Southcoast Community Bank or at any Charleston Visitor’s Center. Tickets at the gate are $20.
Gates open at 10:30 AM, kids under 10 are free with an adult. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the following charities:
The Ronald McDonald House, Hollings Cancer Center, Hospitality Heroes, Shriners Hospitals for Children and Charleston County Schools Science Materials Resource Center
