If you live in an apartment in Charleston, SC you can enjoy some of the best food in the South this weekend. This year will mark the 34th anniversary of the Lowcountry’s culinary event of the year, The Southern Living Taste of Charleston, hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association. A 3-day event showcasing taste-tempting delights served by Charleston restaurants.
Historic Boone Hall Plantation is transformed into a sea of culinary enchantment! 50 of the Lowcountry’s favorite casual and fine dining restaurants serving sample size portions and beer and wine. Highlights of the Main Event include: specialty and imported beer tasting tent, live music with the Dave Landeo Band, the legendary “Waiters’ Race” and the “Kid’s Kitchen Sideshow.”
Area restaurants will compete in the Sept. 26 event at the Culinary Institute of Charleston. Each team is allotted 45 minutes to come up with four dishes featuring the secret ingredient; local culinary experts judge the results.
