Most of our Apartment residents have a busy schedule but their are still many people living in our community that visit the fitness center or the pool to workout, especially on the weekends.

If you’re looking for a better way to manage your schedule so you can create a healthier and more physically fit lifestyle then incorporate some of these activities into your life.

Apartment Fitness Center Rule #1: For Best Results Commit to a Regular Workout Schedule

You have to commit to a specific workout schedule but it should be something that fits your lifestyle.  If you work a 40-hour work week or go to school full-time and when you come home to your apartment there is still a need to cook dinner for the family and do home work, at that point committing to a solid hour everyday may not be the best workout plan in the beginning.  You might choose to set 15 minutes every other day to get into the routine of weekly exercise.  You can even choose to double up on the weekends and intensify your time in the fitness center.  It doesn’t take a long to workout and reap the benefits of it as long as you’re consistent in your routine.  The power is in the consistency!

I mean, these claims are preposterous!   And they mostly point at some quickie solution that will at best patch up a problem for a few moments. Has the world become afraid of actually working? There is nothing that can replace the result that comes from actually doing what is necessary.

Somewhere along the line you’re just going to have to learn what needs to be done and do it.  That’s the bottom line.  Billy Cox wrote an article on the Three Steps to Change Anything. Lol, after all of that another three steps article right? I know, I’m laughing here as well.  But these steps are catered more towards what you are going to do not what you are going to get.

Happy weekend everyone,

I wanted to share some news with you.  A friend of mine sent me an email today wanting to spread some information about the Southeastern Climbers Coalition The SCC. My friend is a rock climber as well as an adrenalin junkie.  I pasted a portion of the email on our blog so that you can get a clear picture of the message.

You are probably aware that I am a rock climber.  But you may not be aware that there is an incredible organization for climbers called Southeastern Climbers Coalition.  The SCC is a 501c3 all volunteer non-profit organization that purchases and preserves threatened climbing areas in the southeast.  It is literally a land trust that buys good climbing land, bouldering sites and crags so people can have access to them. The land is held in trust and can never be developed.  It may seem weird to do this but climbing land is hard to get a hold of because land owners don’t want trespassers on their property. Or, they don’t want to assume liability if someone gets hurt…

Anyway to raise funds they’ve entered the Pepsi Refresh Project grant competition for the month of November at the $250,000 level.  The winners are decided by public vote.  If we win, and that is entirely dependent upon our ability to network and motivate people like YOU to vote, the money will be spent preserving climbing access to 2 climbing areas – one in Alabama and one in Tennessee.
