Punxsutawney Phil, the famed weather predicting Groundhog, saw his shadow at dawn this morning 65 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA. It seems as though we should all expect another 6 weeks of winter!
Every year on February 2nd, the The Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club meets with hundreds of gathers at Gobbler’s Nob to see if the groundhog will see his shadow. This forecast has taken place since 1887 and a longer winter has been predicted more than 100 times. That gives us even more of a reason to stay warm inside today.
